The reigning national champion and winner of the previous round, Nouroudine Mamodaly, driving an Audi TT, confirmed his supremacy yesterday at the 213 base in Arivonimamo.
It was a great battle. RunMada club driver Nouroudine Mamodaly, behind the wheel of an Audi TT, triumphed once again yesterday during the “261 Back to Speed” race, which counted as the third round of the Madagascar 400m run championship held at the 213 base in Arivonimamo.
The reigning Madagascar champion, who already won the previous “The King of Mada Fosa Energy” round in July, dominated the super final against Tahiana Rasolojaona, alias Jay Taxx, who drove a BMW E30. Nouroudine clocked a time of 9.405 seconds against 9.822 seconds for his opponent.
In the semi-finals, he defeated AMA pilot Mano Ramaherniarivo, driving a Peugeot 205 AMG, after eliminating Bryan Ratsivahiny, in a Peugeot 205 Tonnerre, in the quarter-finals.
Nouroudine achieved a time of 9.071 seconds during his fourth joker run. He had completed his first run in 9.128 seconds. He also holds the national record, set at 9.030 seconds during the second round of the championship. For his part, Jay Taxx set the best time of his career at 9.05 seconds.
“Everything went well. We had to manage, because we didn’t want to push too hard. We wanted to stay calm and confident. We were able to achieve these performances thanks to my preparers Don Octane, Speed Makers Voltand Germany, and Tina Razafindrabe,” emphasized Nouroudine, the provisional leader of the championship.
Jean de Dieu Rafanomezantsoa, known as Vazah, driving a Subaru, won the Pro Run 1 category, ahead of Mano, Jay Taxx, and Nouroudine.
Heriniaina Tahiry, from the AMA club, won in the Super Run category after dominating Toala Rakotoarimanga, in a Peugeot 205, in the final. In the Run category, victory went to Sitraka Joelharson, known as “Tale”, from RunMada, driving a Honda Civic. Steven Ramalalaelison, from the AMA club, in an AX T16, won in the youth category.
Following the fatal accident that occurred during the previous round, the technical team of the Madagascar Automobile Sports Federation and the organizing club, Mada Sport Auto (MSA), reinforced security measures before the start of the race. Notably, a braking test was made mandatory, and no vehicle was allowed to park near the finish zone.
Two more national rounds remain on the Madagascar run championship calendar this season. The fourth and penultimate round will take place in Toamasina on November 1st.
