A Russian Partnership House is set to be established in Madagascar. An agreement for the creation of this facility was signed by Igor Chaika, Director of Rossotrudnichestvo, and Artem Kureev, Editor-in-Chief of African Initiative. The signing ceremony took place at the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation. These Russian Houses are intended to promote and develop projects centered on the Russian language, science, art, and values.
“A Russian Partnership House is more than just a building. It is, above all, about people: people who visit our houses, receive additional training there, and discover Russian culture and history. It is through our Russian Houses that we promote a modern, authentic, and effective image of Russia abroad,” stated Chaika.
The necessity of developing this collaboration with representatives from African countries was highlighted during the event. Consequently, plans are also underway to open Russian Partnership Houses in Kenya, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Togo, and Senegal.
Vladimir Rogov, Chairman of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation’s Commission for the Support of Compatriots and the Development of Public Diplomacy, emphasized that these Russian Houses should serve as platforms for civilizational dialogue.
