Around Lake Anosy, public infrastructure is showing signs of deterioration. The metal fences installed to secure and delineate the site are damaged in several places, while some sections have completely disappeared.
According to regular visitors, these acts of vandalism occur during the night. “We notice that the facilities around the lake are degrading day by day. At night, some people take advantage of the quiet to remove the fencing. The next day, we often discover new parts of the fence missing,” a local resident testified.
Over time, the remaining fence elements have been diverted from their original purpose. Some barriers are now used to dry clothes by homeless individuals occupying the area around the lake.
Regular visitors regret the progressive degradation of the site, which harms the image of Lake Anosy. They also warn about the risks related to security and the destruction of public property.
