The clubs from Analamanga and Vakinankaratra have largely dominated the group stage of the U16 girls’ national championship, currently in full swing in Ambositra. Five teams from these two leagues remain undefeated (Fandrefiala, Lucadro, NAS from Analamanga, Phoenix and FFPRO-BCTM from Vakinankaratra, and Ascut from Atsinanana) and are now entering the knockout phase as title contenders.
This dominance is also reflected in the standings. FFPRO-BCTM secured first place in Pool A with eight points and a goal difference of +46. Lucadro achieved the same performance in Pool F, with eight points and an impressive difference of +116. In Pool C, Ascut finished the first phase with eight points and +86, while Phoenix dominated Pool E with eight points and +140. NAS, leader of Pool D, also has eight points with a difference of +81. Fandrefiala Analamanga, with 6 points, remains the leader of Pool B with a difference of +200.
Behind these five teams, the fight for qualifying spots was more contested. TSBB, Pintade, SEPA ABM, ESCO, and JCBA have also secured their tickets for the next stage of the competition. The group phase has thus identified the main forces present, but the counters are now reset to zero.
The knockout phase promises more uncertain matchups. The Analamanga clubs, dominant until now, will have to confirm their status in matches where the slightest error can be fatal. With these undefeated teams, the race remains wide open with several serious candidates for the national title.
