Madagascar Mozarteum is bringing together the Quatuor Squad and the Lanner Ensemble for the 172nd Noon Classical Concert, taking place on Tuesday, September 15, at the IFM Analakely.
Two groups, two countries, and a shared passion for classical music. Organized by Madagascar Mozarteum, this 172nd edition will feature Madagascar’s own Quatuor Squad and the Lanner Ensemble from Germany. String instruments will take center stage, with a program dedicated to great classical masterpieces.
The event will open with the Quatuor Squad. Formed in 2016 by four childhood friends, the group initially focused on 18th-century classical, baroque, and romantic repertoires. Over the years, they have distinguished themselves by blending classical music with pop, variety, and traditional Malagasy rhythms.
The Lanner Ensemble, a renowned group from Germany, will follow with their own program, adding an international dimension to the concert. The highlight of the event will be a collaborative performance where both groups share the stage, fostering a musical dialogue between Malagasy and German musicians.
The program will feature works by Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, showcasing the virtuosity of the performers. This concert serves as a testament to Madagascar Mozarteum’s commitment to promoting exchanges between local and international artists.
