ANTSAHAMANITRA – Samoëla revives his classic hits

Samoëla will continue the celebration of his 30-year stage career in the open air at Antsahamanitra, featuring old tracks revisited in new versions.

Thirty years on stage, songs that have spanned generations, and a new rendezvous to bring them back to life in a different way. Samoëla will take over Antsahamanitra on August 30th starting at 3:00 PM with “Tsy Tontan’ny Ela,” a show organized by Zouk Pro that aims to retrace the major milestones of his musical journey.

For over four hours, nearly 50 tracks will set the rhythm for this major open-air event. A significant place will be given to the oldest songs, some of which have been performed less frequently in recent years. Created for some nearly thirty years ago, these pieces will not be performed identically. Samoëla will revisit them in new versions to give them a new color, while preserving their history and identity.

“Tsy Tontan’ny Ela” is a continuation of “Zara Rev’y” and carries on the celebration of the artist’s three decades of career. The show aims to remind the public that the songs from his beginnings remain present in their memory and can still find a new life on stage.

The event will also have a special significance due to its choice of venue. Antsahamanitra is among the iconic stages of Samoëla’s career, where he has performed several times, usually a few years apart. The August 30th show will mark his eighth appearance at this venue in his thirty-year career.

For this new performance, the team will also pay special attention to visual and technical aspects. Music, image, and sound will be designed to complement each other to offer a show worthy of this anniversary. The scenography will retain its identity while integrating new visual elements.

After Antsahamanitra, the celebration will continue with a tour in Europe in September, followed by a tour in 17 cities across Madagascar at the end of the month. The festivities surrounding his 30-year career, which began in 1995 with a first show presented in February 1996, will span nearly two years before the opening of a new chapter in 2027.
