The Mutuelle d’Assurance Malgache (Mama) is preparing to reach a decisive milestone. The company announced the digitalization of its services during a ceremony held at the Carlton Hotel in Anosy on Friday evening. “This digital transition primarily aims to improve the customer experience and modernize the mutual’s activities. Thanks to this upcoming application, policyholders will no longer have to worry about office hours or the geographical proximity of physical branches,” declared its Director General, Rado Randriamamonjisoa. “Whether you are in a rural area or anywhere else, you will be able to make payments remotely and report accidents,” he added.
To ensure maximum accessibility across the territory, Mama stated that it has partnered with the three major mobile operators on the Great Island. The project is currently being finalized. Development work is nearing completion, promising an imminent launch.
This technological modernization will not impact members’ wallets. The Director General ruled out any increase in rates. “Access to these digital services will be provided at no extra cost,” he emphasized.
Originally created by and for road transport professionals under a mutual model of shared contributions, Mama remains focused today on motor vehicle insurance.
