Breaking news. A spectacular fire broke out early yesterday evening in a multi-story house located in Tsaralalàna, near Anjary. The blaze started around 6:22 PM and spread rapidly from the upper floor. Firefighters arrived on the scene three minutes after the alert, but their efforts were complicated by difficult access to the building. The house is situated approximately 200 meters from the main road, and one of the gates was locked, which delayed the emergency response.
Local residents reported seeing the flames spread too quickly. “We live very close by. The firefighters did not arrive late, but the path to the house is complicated. They had to navigate through a corridor and force open a locked gate before they could intervene. It took some time, but they eventually brought the fire under control. We thank them; they did their job,” testified one neighbor.
By 8:00 PM, the firefighters were still conducting operations. The cause of the fire remains unknown for now. No information was yet available regarding the occupants of the house at the time of publication.
