The Antananarivo Avaradrano School District (CISCO) has recorded an improvement in its results for the 2026 Brevet d’études du premier cycle (BEPC). The success rate reached 65.50%, compared to 59.50% in 2025, marking an increase of nearly six percentage points. In 2024, this rate stood at 74.94%.
In Antananarivo City, more than one in two candidates passed their exams, with a success rate of 54.85%. However, this result represents a 3-point decline compared to last year, when the success rate was 57.35%. This downward trend is confirmed, as the rate was still at 64.39% in 2024.
Meanwhile, candidates in the Antananarivo Atsimondrano CISCO are still waiting for their results to be released.
The results for the Antananarivo City CISCO were published yesterday evening. The list of successful candidates has been posted at examination centers since this morning. Candidates can also check their results via SMS by sending their registration number to 601, or by visiting the Ministry of National Education’s website.
According to the Ministry of National Education, initial trends indicate an overall increase in the national success rate compared to last year. In 2025, the national rate was 58.95%. Officials hope to record better performance this year.
This improvement is reportedly linked to efforts made to promote school enrollment. The development of school canteens is also cited as a contributing factor to this progress. These measures aim to improve learning conditions and strengthen student performance in examinations.
