Yesterday in Antohomadinika Centre, the lifeless body of Judicael, a 21-year-old high school student, was found in a gutter just 50 meters from his home.
He was set to take his baccalaureate exam this year, but his dreams were abruptly cut short. His family, plunged into grief, is now awaiting the results of the autopsy and the investigation to understand the circumstances of his death. According to witnesses, his phone and money were still on him when he was discovered.
His father recounted his son’s final hours: “On Monday evening, before the Portugal-Spain match, he went out to buy credit to watch the game on his phone, as our television was broken. He never returned. And today, we found him dead. The Criminal Brigade and the Municipal Hygiene Bureau took his body for an autopsy. I wanted to accompany them, but I was not allowed. My heart is broken. My son was supposed to take the bac exam next week. I ask the authorities to take responsibility, because it is always the most modest who become the victims.”
