Second week of exams. Following the completion of the first phase on July 24, 10,426 candidates for the vocational baccalaureate and 433 for the technological baccalaureate are continuing their official exams this week to obtain their first university-level diploma. This qualification facilitates both higher education pursuits and professional integration upon graduation.
The second part of the 2026 vocational and technological baccalaureate exams is being held from July 27 to 30 across 66 examination centers throughout Madagascar. Nearly 11,000 candidates are testing in fields covering six activity sectors and 21 specialties for the vocational baccalaureate, as well as three sectors and three specialties for the technological baccalaureate. According to the Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, Dr. Todisoa Andriamampandry, all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure the exams proceed under optimal conditions.
Once the diploma is obtained, the prospects for technical baccalaureate holders are numerous, according to Jean Rémi Randriantsivery, Director of Exams at the Ministry. He emphasizes that graduates can pursue studies in various schools and faculties, such as polytechnics, science and technology, Institutes of Technology (IST), as well as fields like management or agronomy.
“Graduates from technical education possess solid technical skills, reinforced by scientific knowledge and transversal skills acquired during three years of training,” he noted. These skills facilitate professional integration immediately upon graduation. In addition to this option, many technical graduates also pursue studies abroad through international scholarships. Laureates who achieve ‘Very Good’ and ‘Good’ honors are prioritized, with incentive measures rewarding their academic excellence.
