AWARENESS – Strengthening cybercrime prevention

The Cybercrime Control Center (CLCC), under the Ministry of Communication and Culture, received computers from the Ministry in charge of Digital Development on October 21, 2026, in Anosy. This equipment will be distributed across the 24 regions to strengthen the resources of local teams.

The objective is to train regional officials and field agents to identify and analyze offenses committed on social networks, in order to better protect citizens against scams, abuse, and the spread of misinformation.

Created in 2019, the CLCC resumed its activities in June 2026 after an interruption. According to its coordinator, Police Commissioner Tsitohaina Ralihivao, awareness will be the first step before potential sanctions are taken against individuals who persist in committing offenses.

Prevention also relies on the vigilance of internet users. Verifying information before sharing it helps protect the reputation of others and maintain a climate of trust.
