The Head of State engaged in a series of activities yesterday in Manakara, a day marked by direct contact with the local population and civil servants. Covering sports, culture, religion, and administration, Colonel Michaël Randrianirina, accompanied by high-ranking advisors and a government delegation, participated in the ASIEF 2026 games, organized by the Interministerial Sports Association for Civil Servants.
The day featured gala matches where the President showcased his passion for football and basketball, emphasizing the importance of solidarity among public servants. Beyond sports, the President participated in a street run in Manakara and inaugurated the new prefecture offices. The presidential couple also attended a religious service in Ampasimanjeva to mark the 20th anniversary of the Toby Famonjena (Anglican Church).
Returning to Manakara, the Head of State inspected infrastructure projects, including the new prefecture building and local road works. The marathon day concluded with the official opening of the first edition of the ‘Omby Lahy Be Vozogno’ festival, aimed at highlighting the cultural heritage of the Fitovinany region.
