A 17-year-old teenager has been arrested for his alleged involvement in a murder that occurred at a karaoke bar in Bongatsara on August 23. He confessed to stabbing a 21-year-old customer twice in the neck. According to his statement, he acted after seeing the victim attempting to pull an object from behind his back.
The tragedy took place around 3 a.m. at the establishment. The victim, who had spent the evening drinking with a young woman, went to the restroom with her and another man.
Moments later, the young woman came out alone. The young man’s body was found shortly after, lying in front of the restroom door, covered in blood. Medical findings confirmed death by hemorrhage.
The gendarmes seized the knife used, examined surveillance footage, and analyzed the suspects’ phones. Three women are being prosecuted for complicity or aiding in the escape. The investigation successfully tracked the main suspect’s movements before his arrest on August 25. The owner of the karaoke bar has also been questioned.
