TSIMBAZAZA – The President of the National Assembly calls out the government

Members of the government led by Prime Minister Mamitiana Rajaonarison received some reprimands from the President of the National Assembly, Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko. Through his directives, the head of the institution expressed his dissatisfaction with the work of the Executive branch.

However, two ministers were commended and thanked by the deputies following the speech delivered yesterday morning at Tsimbazaza. “I would like to particularly mention the Minister of Water and the Minister of Public Works, who have truly done their job,” he declared, triggering lively applause in the hemicycle.

The President of the National Assembly also acknowledged the efforts of the Minister of Energy and Hydrocarbons, while highlighting the difficulties encountered in implementing the measures taken. “I apologize, but efforts are visible and yet, electricity problems always return shortly after,” he added.

Furthermore, Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko issued firm instructions to the Prime Minister, calling on him to pay particular attention to insecurity and traffic accidents, the number of which has increased recently. He also asked him to take measures against failing officials.

“Also remove officials who have not done their job and whose incompetence leads to poor management of the state budget,” he insisted.
