To conclude his 25-year career, Raboussa performed yesterday at a packed Palais des Sports, surrounded by his sons.
With a sold-out venue, a predominantly young audience, and a touching moment of family complicity on stage, Raboussa marked the end of his 25th-anniversary celebrations by sharing the spotlight with his two sons, Milay and Redahy. Organized as part of the “Revy” event, the concert brought together the artist’s loyal fans for a night featuring his greatest hits and several guest performers.
The show highlighted the songs that defined Raboussa’s career, including “Kaiz” and “Hisolo Tsiky.” Several guest artists also joined him on stage; 18.3 performed “Tonga Ndray,” while Marion joined the show with “Quand t’as là,” among other collaborations throughout the evening.
On stage, the artist maintained the musical formula he has been developing since 2011: a hybrid acoustic rap that combines rap, DJing, and live instrumentation. He was accompanied by Volamihanta, Nino on keyboards, Herz on turntables, Fy on drums, Pa on guitar, Nanja on bass, and a saxophonist.
Raboussa has now been on stage for 25 years, although his journey under this stage name dates back 30 years. His discography is notably marked by “Rap Mandrakizay,” released in 2003. He has since shifted his focus toward releasing singles while adapting his music to new distribution channels, particularly social media.
This longevity has not prevented the artist from connecting with younger generations. After noticing that his audience had gradually aged, Raboussa is now observing a renewed interest from young listeners, especially since the release of new tracks in early 2026.
The “Revy” show thus stands as a meeting point between generations: an artist celebrating a quarter-century on stage while gradually making room for his sons in his musical universe.
