Through a traveling exhibition and a live painting session, Malagasy artist Dina Rabearivelo is presenting around twenty works in France that question the human condition.
Contemporary Malagasy art continues to shine internationally. Following his participation in the collective exhibition “Lamba ho any” at the MadagasyArt Festival, launched in May in Paris, Dina Rabearivelo is continuing his journey in France with the fifth leg of his artistic tour. From June 29 to July 4, the artist is showcasing about twenty of his works in the heart of Aix-en-Provence, offering the French public a sensitive reflection on the human condition through visual arts.
Titled “A Little More Humanity,” this exhibition brings together a series of works dedicated to humanity in all its dimensions. The artist explores both its physical appearance—anatomy, hairstyles, clothing, or accessories—and its social, cultural, relational, organizational, and environmental realities. Through this selection, Dina Rabearivelo offers an artistic reading of the human condition while sharing a Malagasy creator’s perspective on the contemporary world.
This fifth stage of the tour takes place in the city center of Aix-en-Provence, a space recognized for its artistic and cultural life. About twenty works have been selected to represent Malagasy visual arts to the French public.
Beyond the exhibition, Dina Rabearivelo will also perform a live painting session, giving visitors the opportunity to witness the birth of a work in real-time. This performance enriches the artistic experience by creating an immediate exchange between the public and the artist.
