ANTSIVA RADIO – 97.6 FM – ‘Ny Marina’ celebrates thirty years of debate and dialogue

The program “Ny Marina,” broadcast on Antsiva Radio 97.6 FM, celebrates its thirtieth anniversary this Tuesday, October 13. Launched on October 13, 1996, it provides a space for debate on national affairs.

Thirty years have passed since the first broadcast of “Ny Marina.” During this period, Madagascar’s political and social context has changed, media has evolved, and public information habits have transformed. Throughout these changes, the program has continued its mission: to make national affairs a subject of discussion and provide insights to listeners.

The beginnings of “Ny Marina” are linked to the name of Ismaël Razafinarivo, one of the initiators of the program, who contributed to its conception and production. Annick Raherimanana, Nivo Ratiarison, and Noël Randriantenaina also participated in its launch.

This thirtieth anniversary will serve to recall their contribution, as well as that of all the people who have succeeded one another in preparing and producing the program. “Ny Marina” is not limited to transmitting information; its approach is also based on questioning, explaining major issues, and exchanging ideas.

For Michel Ralibera, editor-in-chief of Antsiva Radio, “the radio retains a major role in explaining important information and the problems facing the country. Given the situation, we need solidarity, and everyone must take their responsibilities,” he emphasizes. He insists that knowing the realities is not enough without awareness and concrete commitment.

Antsiva Radio will offer special programming on Tuesday, October 13, to celebrate the thirty years of “Ny Marina,” including reflections on the program’s history, testimonials, listener interventions, and thoughts on its future.
