DIANA Region Honors Top-Performing Students

Good news for students, parents, and teachers in the Diana region. During the joint flag-raising ceremony on Monday, the regional head announced that a ceremony would be held this Tuesday to honor the students who achieved the best results in official examinations.

A total of twenty-six students from various districts in the region are expected to gather in the northern capital to receive awards in recognition of their hard work throughout the school year. Their achievements are a source of pride for their families, teachers, and schools.

Rewarding academic merit is not a new practice; it was previously established before being interrupted for several years. The region now intends to revive it to value student efforts and foster healthy competition among the youth.

For this edition, the initiative goes beyond the usual distribution of school supplies. The region has decided to combine the event with heritage discovery and a moment of conviviality. The rural commune of Joffre-Ville was chosen to host the laureates, where students will explore the natural and historical treasures of the Montagne d’Ambre National Park.

The day will conclude with a friendly meal at the sisters’ monastery, where the official award ceremony will take place. Through this initiative, the region aims to use academic recognition as a means to encourage students, emphasizing that effort and perseverance are key to success.

“This award is both a recognition of our work and an additional motivation to continue our studies,” said Christiana Vallès Maevatiana, a baccalaureate laureate from the Saint-Jean Vocational High School in Antsiranana.
