Madagascar’s tennis scene will be represented by Dina Razafimahatratra, a Level 3 certified coach, at the World Tennis Regional Coaches Conference for English-speaking Africa, scheduled to take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from September 28 to 30, 2026.
As a recipient of an educational scholarship covering accommodation and meals, Dina Razafimahatratra is personally funding his travel expenses, driven by his commitment to serving Malagasy tennis. He views this participation as a significant milestone: “It is always important to attend a continental conference for coaches in Africa. Receiving support from World Tennis for accommodation and meals encourages me to invest in coaching, even though I still have to pay for my own airfare.”
In Nairobi, Dina Razafimahatratra will represent “all Malagasy coaches” and will also present a topic during the conference. For him, the stakes go beyond his individual participation: “The real development of Malagasy tennis systematically requires keeping up with the evolution of how tennis is taught to the youngest players and how to train them properly.”
This ambition places the training of coaches and the guidance of young talents at the heart of tennis development in Madagascar.
