Nothing is official regarding the international transfer case of world vice-champion Faratiana Rakotoniaina, known as “Tiana Kely.” The three players from the Union des Boulistes Manjaka Tanana (UBMT)—Donald Andrianantenaina, Faratiana Rakotoniaina (Tiana Kely), and Onja Lalaina Randrianarimanana—were scouted by the Décines club during their summer tour in France. The trio has been back in the country for over a week following a fifty-day stay on French soil.
“The Décines club requested that Tiana Kely join them a bit earlier to start preparing for the 2027 season now. I signed his transfer letter so he could submit it to the federation and request the necessary documents for the international transfer,” explained UBMT president Luc Ratsimbaharison.
“We were not satisfied with the federation’s responses. While it is true that he cannot proceed with the transfer in the middle of the season, what puzzles us is that he will also not be able to benefit from the talent visa,” he added.
“The file is incomplete because, so far, we have only received the transfer letter. Other documents are required, notably the employment contract with the club and the certificate of accommodation. We have not yet rejected the request because we still need to inquire with the French Federation about the required documents. We will communicate the decision later, once the file has been reviewed,” clarified the president of the federation, Adrien Julio Édouard Andrianirina.
