MOTOCROSS – ILAKAKA GRAND PRIX – A Fourth Consecutive Win for Mathias Plantive

A solo victory. Mathias Plantive, riding his Husqvarna, continues his streak of success. Mathias secured an effortless solo win in the overall standings and the Elite 1 category at the Ilakaka Grand Prix.

This race, the first held outside the capital, served as the fourth round of the Madagascar Motocross Championship this past Sunday. He completed seven laps in each of the two heats, adding 50 points to his previous victories from the first three national rounds, all of which took place in the capital at Ambohidava.

Guillaume Tsiranana climbed to the top of the podium in the MX2 category, crossing the finish line first in both heats. Jérémy Rakotoarimanana finished as runner-up, ahead of Sincère Leung Yen. The junior category saw intense competition. Huo Tsirava finished second in the first heat ahead of Tsiory Ramangason, before reversing the order in the second heat. In the Veterans 1 category, the victory went to Patrick Nolimit, while Rija Alberto Rakotomamoianina dominated the Veterans 2 class. The fifth round, the Grand Prix of the East at Datsara Village in Toamasina, will be the second regional race and is scheduled for August 2nd.
