The Manjakaray players lost 49-56 after extra time against CEA Andranomanalina in a thrilling match. With this victory, the rugby players from Andranomanalina secured third place nationally.
In a packed Makis stadium, the match began with FTM taking an early lead, reaching 14-3 by the 21st minute. However, CEA Andranomanalina fought back, scoring three tries before halftime to lead 22-14. The second half saw a fierce battle, with FTM regaining the lead 34-27 late in the game. CEA managed to equalize just after the final whistle, forcing the match into extra time.
The extra time proved fatal for FTM. CEA Andranomanalina dominated the additional periods, scoring three more tries to seal a 56-49 victory. This win marks a successful season for the newly promoted CEA team.
