Thirty-five crews are set to compete in the 19th edition of the Boeny Rally. This “Holiday Rally,” organized by the Go Janga club, serves as the third round of the Madagascar Rally Championship and will take place in Mahajanga from August 13 to 15.
As the mid-season event, this is the first rally held outside the capital this year. The competition features a 1.5 coefficient and spans three days. The crew of Mathieu Andrianjafy and Nathanael Young, driving a Subaru M12, enters as the untouchable leaders after winning the first two national rounds. They aim for a flawless performance to extend their lead in the championship standings.
Several top contenders will challenge the six-time national champion, including the Asacm club duo Frédéric Rabekoto and Andry Tahina Rakotomalala Andrianjafy in a Mitsubishi Evo X R4, as well as the experienced Olivier Ramiandrisoa and Ny Anjara Rajaonalisoa. Local expert Tahina Razafinjoelina, accompanied by his daughter Fitia, will also be a major force to watch.
The event includes 14 special stages covering 123 km, featuring two asphalt stages in front of the City Hall and a night stage. The total distance, including liaison sections, is 202 km.
