The first demolitions of houses affected by the Anosizato flyover project have begun. Property owners who have received their compensation are now clearing the land required for the construction site. The State is in the final stages of completing compensation payments. A one-month deadline has been granted to the affected owners to demolish their structures after receiving their indemnity. This operation is intended to gradually clear the space needed for the work.
In parallel, site preparations are progressing on the ground. The access road for construction machinery is currently being developed. This step is essential to facilitate the transport of equipment and allow for the start of the first bridge construction.
The project involves building two new bridges. The infrastructure will feature a four-lane carriageway to increase the capacity of this axis and improve traffic flow in the Anosizato area.
The work is scheduled to be carried out without completely halting traffic. A safety and traffic management system is planned around the construction zone to allow road users to continue circulating during the various phases of the project.
With the initial demolitions and access preparations, the Anosizato flyover project is beginning to take shape. Clearing the land is a prerequisite for the main construction works planned for the project.
