COOPERATION – Chad and Madagascar on the same wavelength

The strengthening of bilateral relations and the mobilization of the Malagasy diaspora were at the heart of the trip by Colonel Michaël Randrianirina, Head of State, to N’Djamena, Chad. A meeting was notably organized with about twenty Malagasy nationals established in the country. “The diaspora constitutes a strength for Madagascar. Its skills must be better valued,” emphasized the President of the Refoundation.

Beyond this exchange, the trip also aims to boost economic and professional exchanges between Madagascar and Chad. The circulation of skills and the sharing of experiences were presented as levers to strengthen the Malagasy presence on the African continent.

The visit’s program was also marked by participation in the celebrations of the 66th anniversary of Chad’s independence yesterday in N’Djamena. Colonel Michaël Randrianirina accepted the invitation of Marshal Idriss Mahamat, President of Chad, alongside General Horta N’Tam, President of Guinea-Bissau. The President of the Refoundation presented this meeting as an opportunity to “strengthen intra-African cooperation,” adding that “the Chadian president is willing to visit Madagascar to exchange and identify avenues for cooperation between the two countries.”
