The two teams were tied after the two singles matches. In the first match, Valentin Rakondrasoa was defeated by Hervé Antchandié 0-2 (6-3, 6-3). Madagascar bounced back through Antso Rakotondramanga, who beat Lyold Obiang Ondo 2-0 (6-0, 6-2).
The two nations were forced into a deciding doubles match. Antso Rakotondramanga and Lucas Andriamasilalao defeated Hervé Antchandie and Lyold Obiang Ondo 2-1 (2-6, 7-6, 6-2) in this decisive encounter.
The Akomba remain undefeated since the start of this African zone tournament. Madagascar recorded three consecutive victories during the group stage, successively beating Mauritania (3-0) and Ethiopia (3-0).
