BMOI continues its commitment to tennis in Madagascar. In collaboration with the Malagasy Tennis Federation (FMT) and ACSA Ambohidahy, the bank invites amateur players to the BMOI Legacy Tournament on November 14th and 15th. This competition, dedicated to men’s and women’s doubles, aims to combine sportsmanship, conviviality, sharing, and business opportunities.
For this new edition, matches will follow a timed format, consisting of two 15-minute periods. Points will be counted using the tie-break system. Each period corresponds to a set, and the team winning both sets will be declared the winner.
Participation is subject to cumulative age requirements: at least 90 years for men’s teams and 70 years for women’s teams. The tournament is reserved for amateurs. Former and current ATP, WTA, or ITF ranked players, paid coaches, and first-series players are not permitted to participate.
This initiative is part of the ongoing actions taken by BMOI to support tennis in Madagascar. The bank has notably supported the International Open organized at the Country Club in Ilafy, where the BMOI-Madauto tournament was a popular event for tennis enthusiasts. It also launched the BMOI Premium Challenge for amateurs before expanding its support to racket sports with the BMOI Premium Padel in December 2024. In August 2026, it was among the official partners of the National Tennis Championship organized by the FMT at ACSA.
Participation fees are 200,000 Ariary per team, including lunches for both days. Registration is open until November 7th. Through the BMOI Legacy Tournament, the bank reaffirms its support for the development of Malagasy tennis, placing special emphasis on amateur practice and the promotion of competition.
