The Centre de formation de football d’Andoharanofotsy (CFFA), two-time Madagascar champion (2022, 2026), will host Lesotho’s Lijabatho FC in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League on September 5th at the Côte d’Or complex in Mauritius. Coach Franck Rajaonarisamba noted that the team has integrated six new reinforcements and is focusing on fast-paced play to counter their opponents’ technical but slower style. The club has invested significantly in travel and logistics, collaborating with the Mauritian federation for the organization.
Meanwhile, FC Rouge, winner of the Madagascar Cup, will play the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round in Zambia against Red Arrows FC on September 5th. Coach Fenosoa Ratolojanahary stated that the team has been focusing on physical conditioning and tactical cohesion, particularly in finishing and defensive systems. The club has also brought in several reinforcements, including goalkeepers Bernie and Patrick, as well as players Toky and Mamisoa. FC Rouge will host the return leg at the Côte d’Or complex in Mauritius on September 13th.
