PUBLIC HEALTH – Over 3,000 graduates from the Interregional Paramedical Training Institute awaiting recruitment

Discontent is growing among graduates of the Interregional Paramedical Training Institute (Ifirp). According to their representatives, more than 3,000 graduates are currently waiting to be integrated into the civil service. They denounce delays in the processing of their files and are calling for concrete measures to facilitate their recruitment.

At the heart of their requests is the utilization of the 300 budgetary positions allocated to the Ministry of Public Health. They recall that their recruitment was validated by the Council of Ministers on September 17, 2025, with the goal of strengthening the workforce of doctors and paramedical staff in public institutions. However, according to Ifirp graduates, the integration procedures are slow to materialize. They claim that no decision has yet been made regarding their recruitment and are demanding an acceleration of the process.

This situation is not new. At the end of 2025, representatives of the paramedical staff had already reported approximately 1,500 Ifirp graduates from the 2020-2023 period and stated that no recruitment had taken place since 2020. The graduates specifically blame the management of procedures within the Human Resources Department (DRH) of the Ministry of Public Health, which they accuse of being the cause of the delays in processing their files. They are calling on officials to take responsibility and expedite the procedures.

Beyond their professional situation, the Ifirp graduates emphasize the health system’s need for a sufficient number of qualified personnel to meet the population’s needs as a justification for their demands.
