SIAL International Food Exhibition: Processed products seek buyers

Ten Malagasy companies will participate in the SIAL exhibition in Paris from October 17 to 21 to showcase their processed products and conquer new international markets.

The goal is to find buyers, secure contracts, and promote Malagasy processed goods abroad. The delegation includes operators from Antananarivo and various regions, focusing on small and medium-sized enterprises with export potential. Products such as vanilla, cocoa, cinnamon, pink peppercorns, essential oils, and processed plant products will be highlighted.

Ny Riana Nampoina Raharimanjato, Minister of Industrialization and Private Sector Development, emphasized that the focus is on increasing the value of raw materials through local processing. Companies like Malakasy, based in Toliara and specializing in high-quality cassava flour, are among the participants looking to expand beyond their current markets in Mauritius and Reunion Island.

The participation is supported by the Integrated Growth Poles Project (PIC3) with World Bank funding totaling 123,351.90 euros, covering registration and booth costs. The initiative is coordinated by the Ministry of Industrialization and Private Sector Development in collaboration with the France-Madagascar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFM).
