Two motorcyclists lost their lives in two separate accidents on the RN1, in Anosizato and Ambodiafontsy. One was crushed by a truck, while the other collided with a broken-down heavy vehicle.
Two fatal accidents occurred one after another the day before yesterday on National Road 1, in Anosizato and on the straight road connecting Ampitatafika to Fenoarivo. The victims, two motorcyclists aged approximately 30 and 35, died instantly from the violence of the impacts. The first was crushed by a truck, while the second collided with a stationary heavy vehicle.
The first accident occurred in the afternoon at Anosizato Antanimenakely. A large-displacement motorcycle coming from the west was hit and then crushed by a truck traveling in the opposite direction. Seriously injured in the head, the motorcyclist died on the spot. The scene horrified passersby: the victim lay in the middle of the road. His body was covered with a sheet during the investigations carried out by the authorities.
The second accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on the straight road of Ambodiafontsy. Alerted, the gendarmes and a medical team from the CSB II of Faliarivo immediately went to the scene. According to initial findings, a Kymco G6 scooter, which was traveling from Fenoarivo towards Ampitatafika, hit a broken-down truck parked on the side of the road. The motorcyclist died instantly and his two-wheeler was completely destroyed. The body was handed over to the family after the investigations.
