The final stretch of the Madagascar N1A basketball championship is approaching. The country’s top teams will gather at the Palais des Sports in Mahamasina from September 24 to October 4 for the final phase.
GNBC will attempt to defend its crown in the women’s category, while Cospn seeks to confirm its supremacy among the men. Previous phases held in Antsirabe and Mahajanga have already provided insights into the competitive landscape.
In the women’s division, GNBC Analamanga finished at the top of its group with four wins. However, they face stiff competition from teams like BC Somava Sava and MB2ALL Analamanga, the latter of which impressed with a perfect record in its group.
In the men’s category, defending champion Cospn faces a tougher path, having finished second in its group behind an undefeated RBC Boeny. The competition remains balanced, with teams like GNBC, MBC, Cosfa, and ASCUT also showing strong potential to challenge for the title.
“We are the defending champions and we will strive to live up to that status,” said Eli Michael Rakotonindrina, coach of the GNBC women’s team.
