The Palais des Sports was transformed yesterday into a true space for musical sharing. With a sold-out crowd, the Reko concert brought together a diverse audience, largely composed of young people, who sang and danced throughout the show. The stage, set in the middle of the hall, placed the artists as close as possible to the audience.
Visually, the concert relied on a particularly elaborate setup. Dancers were present on different sides of the stage, accompanied by light shows and special effects, including aerial fire displays. Circular screens surrounded the upper part of the stage, broadcasting images of the artists or song lyrics. Other screens, placed at the front and back, completed the setup, while decorative lighting surrounded the structure.
The group presented their new album, Upside Down, released in June 2026. Several tracks from this opus were unveiled to the public, including Garden. The concert also featured iconic tracks from Reko’s career, such as Any ho any, Tongasoa, and Fianakaviana iray. The show also touched on spiritual dimensions with Ny fanjakany and showcased collaborations with artists like Jimmy Harison and Erica Durock.
Reko is celebrating its eighth anniversary this year. The band consists of Diary (bass/vocals), Zazah (drums), Princia (guitar), and Fy (acoustic guitar/lead vocals), performing in a progressive folk style.
