The Madagascar U16 Basketball Championship, currently being held in Ambositra, has entered its decisive phase. The quarter-finals have concluded, resulting in the elimination of both the boys’ and girls’ teams representing JCBA.
In the girls’ category, Lucadro confirmed their championship ambitions by defeating JCBA (48-41), a victory that allows the Analamanga players to continue their pursuit of the title. Fandrefiala also impressed by dominating Pintade (74-46). The two teams will now face each other in a semi-final that promises to be a true final before the final.
The other women’s semi-final will feature ASSM against Phoenix. Phoenix delivered a strong performance in the quarter-finals by defeating NAS (75-54), while ASSM overcame FFPRO (55-41).
In the boys’ category, JCBA narrowly lost to Fivam (62-65) after a highly contested match. Fivam will face ASSM, who defeated SBC (48-31). In the other semi-final, Ascut, having dominated NAS (69-59), will take on AS Monfort, who eliminated JSB.
