A new digital system has arrived. CureSureMedico (CSM) has launched a platform designed to optimize the management of international medical evacuations through the ‘Case Assisted Triage’ (CAT) mechanism. This clinical triage system aims to make the patient care journey more fluid, transparent, and secure, from initial medical assessment to post-return follow-up in Madagascar.
Among its innovations, CAT allows for the analysis of every medical file before any decision to transfer a patient abroad is made. According to Joseph Jérôme Fanantenana, Chief Operating Officer at CSM, this approach ensures that every patient receives a comprehensive file review before considering international travel. Existing examinations are studied, additional investigations may be requested if necessary, and the file is then submitted to partner specialists in India. This preliminary evaluation enables patients and their families to make informed decisions before committing to international treatment.
This digitized clinical triage mechanism improves coordination between medical teams. It also centralizes clinical information and facilitates the continuity of care between partner institutions abroad and attending physicians in Madagascar. Furthermore, the platform simplifies administrative procedures, travel arrangements, hospital stays, and post-treatment follow-up, thereby reducing the uncertainty often experienced by families facing a medical evacuation.
The CAT system was presented during the recent inauguration of the new CSM headquarters in Ivandry. Present at the ceremony, Mohit Kumar, representative of the Indian Ambassador to Madagascar, praised the initiative while highlighting India’s position in the field of medical tourism. India is currently a benchmark destination for specialized care. He also emphasized that quality of care, patient well-being, and transparency in support are the essential values that should guide any initiative in this sector.
