23rd Rallye Tour de Tana: The Title Race Remains Wide Open

Penultimate round. After three rounds, the title race remains wide open. The main contenders are set to compete in the 23rd edition of the Rallye Tour de Tana Sodirex-Orange, the fourth round of the Madagascar Rally Championship, taking place from Friday to Sunday. Thirty-seven crews have registered.

Winners of the first two national rounds held in the capital, Mathieu Andrianjafy and Nathanaël Young (Asacm), will need a strong result in their Subaru to maintain their lead or even extend the gap. Frédéric Rabekoto and Andry Tahina Rakotomalala Andrianjafy, winners of the 19th Rallye du Boeny in Mahajanga driving a Mitsubishi Yas, will attempt to secure another victory to stay in the title hunt.

Other notable crews include the duo Olivier Ramiandrisoa and Mahenintsoa Randriambolona, regular podium finishers in their Mitsubishi Evo X. Tahina Razafinjoelina will start with his daughter, Fifaliana, in the Subaru Vidy Varotra. Radoraben, the Esteban-Patou duo, and the mixed crew Herman-Koloina will also be behind the wheels of Subarus.

Ten special stages totaling 126 km await the competitors over the three days of this coefficient-1 rally: two on the first day, five on the second, and three on the final day. This edition will feature a night pursuit race on Saturday, October 3, at 7:35 PM on Avenue de l’Indépendance, held on a 0.98 km figure-eight track.
