The National Center for Distance Education of Madagascar (CNTMAD) is traveling across several regions to promote distance learning. The tour allows candidates to discover the training programs offered and register on the spot.
Through the ‘CNTMAD Discovery Days Tour,’ the center is reaching out to the population in various parts of the country. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the opportunities offered by distance learning, particularly for new high school graduates, former graduates, workers, job seekers, and those wishing to resume or continue their studies.
The goal of this national tour is to bring higher education closer to the population. Interested individuals can explore the various programs offered by the CNTMAD, understand how distance learning works, and obtain the necessary information for their academic orientation directly. Registrations are also being handled on-site by officials during the various stages of the tour.
According to Professor Pierre Benjamin Rakotomahenina, National Director of the CNTMAD, the institution provides public education affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The training programs have undergone a restructuring, allowing students access to several fields of study. For this year, the open programs include management, economics, commerce, industrial engineering, computer science, and telecommunications. Other fields are expected to be offered soon, including tourism and the environment.
One of the main advantages of the CNTMAD is the ability to study remotely via a digital platform. Learners can pursue their education without having to travel to a traditional higher education institution. This approach aims to facilitate access to studies for working professionals, those living far from major urban centers, or those wishing to balance studies with professional activities.
However, the development of digital technology in education does not mean the disappearance of traditional materials. The CNTMAD continues to rely on pedagogical books, available in both digital and paper formats. The digital platform serves to strengthen access to content and support the evolution of learning methods.
