The 13th edition of the Fihaonambe (Congress), the major national gathering of the FJKM STK youth, concluded in Nosy Be, held from August 26 to 30. The 2026 edition focused on the commitment of young people to produce concrete and sustainable results through their work to contribute to societal transformation.
This message served as the guiding theme throughout the five-day event. FJKM President, Reverend Zaka Harimasy Andriamampianina, emphasized this direction during his address, drawing inspiration from the Gospel of Luke 17:10. He introduced the ‘MATOA’ concept, urging youth to focus on sustainable results (MAharitra), character (Toetra), human relations (Olona), and concrete work (Asa).
The gathering aimed to strengthen faith in Jesus Christ and foster spiritual growth. Various sports and cultural activities allowed participants from the 38 provincial synods to showcase their talents in music, singing, and traditional dance, while strengthening bonds of brotherhood and unity.
Reverend Jean-Charles Rafanomezantsoa, a member of the FJKM central committee, highlighted the responsibilities of today’s youth, urging them to value their physical and spiritual growth, practice discernment, and remain steadfast against temptations.
