Vocational Training: 99 Young People Certified in BPO Professions After Seven Weeks of Training

Training concludes. On Thursday, 99 young people received their training certificates in ‘Business Process Outsourcing’ (BPO) professions, marking the end of the second cohort of the ‘Asanai’ program. Out of the 111 candidates who completed the seven-week training, 99 successfully passed the certification exams.

The ‘Asanai’ program aims to build a pool of operational young talent to meet the recruitment needs of companies specializing in customer relations and BPO in Madagascar. It is supported by the government, through the Ministry of Digital Development, Posts and Telecommunications, with the backing of the World Bank and the Integrated Growth Poles (PIC) project.

Initial results show 235 young people certified between March and September 2026, following the first two cohorts. According to data provided by the PIC project, 166 of them have already entered the job market, representing a professional integration rate of approximately 70%. For the second cohort, 72 of the 99 certified youths are already under contract or interning at partner companies, including Concentrix, Konecta, and Connecteo.

The program welcomes young people from diverse backgrounds. Fenosoa Finaritra Razafindrazaka, the valedictorian of the second cohort, previously worked as a freelance photographer for an association. He noted that he developed skills in communication and public relations before pivoting toward digital and customer service professions.

Ravaka Tantely Ravoniarijao, also a top student with a background in finance and accounting, is currently interning at a BPO company. She stated that she is putting the skills acquired during the training into practice.

Language proficiency, digital skills, and adaptability are among the most sought-after aptitudes in the sector. The training, provided with the support of ArkeUp Academy and BPO professionals, is also adjusted based on the needs expressed by companies. Strengthening linguistic skills is one of the key improvements made to the program.

A third cohort is expected to launch in the coming days, with 200 candidates already pre-selected for this new session.
