AFCON 2027 Qualifiers: Three Disciples FC players pre-selected

Three local players have been included in the pre-selection. Players likely to form the Madagascar national team for the first two matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers have received their call-ups. Three players from Disciples FC, namely Rado Rabemanantsoa, Bono Rabearivelo, and Andy Rakotondrajoa, are among those pre-selected. Expatriate players have also received their call-up letters.

The Barea will play their opening match away against the Nigerian Super Eagles on Friday, September 25, at 8:00 PM Madagascar time, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria. Due to the lack of an approved stadium, the Barea will subsequently host the Tanzanian Taifa Stars on Tuesday, September 29, at 7:00 PM Madagascar time, at the Stade d’Honneur in Meknès, Morocco.

The final list of selected players is expected to be announced next week. Madagascar will play against Guinea-Bissau in home and away matches for matchdays 3 and 4 between November 9 and 17. The final two matchdays against Nigeria and Tanzania, both away, will take place from March 22 to 30 of next year.
