PRESIDENTIAL TOUR – The Head of State continues a series of regional visits

Colonel Michaël Randrianirina is increasing his travels across the country. After visiting Atsimo Atsinanana, Boeny, and Diana, the Head of State is expected to continue his tour next week.

It is a marathon effort undertaken by Colonel Michaël Randrianirina in recent days, involving a series of inaugurations as well as religious and cultural events. In Farafangana, he presided over a ceremony on August 21 in Evato to consolidate brotherhood among eight ethnic groups. He also kicked off the ASIEF 2026 and participated in a cultural event. The Iavoloha resident then headed to Sainte-Marie on Thursday to preside over a festival, followed by visits to Mahajanga and Nosy Be over the weekend.

In Mahajanga, the Head of State inaugurated the expansion works of the port in the ‘City of Flowers’. This infrastructure holds a strategic position for maritime trade and regional economic development. In Nosy Be, his visit was marked by discussions with local officials and residents regarding water supply, road infrastructure, and public services. He also attended the closing worship of the FJKM Protestant Church youth congress.

The presidential tour is set to continue next week with planned visits to Ambositra and Manandriana, where he is expected to participate in events highlighting local culture and products. According to the Presidency of the Refoundation of the Republic, these visits aim to strengthen the proximity between the Head of State and the population, allowing him to assess infrastructure conditions and local challenges firsthand.
