YOUTH – Financial education on the agenda for the JCI National Convention and Youth Leader Summit

How to better manage money? How to finance an activity or access financial services tailored to one’s needs? These questions will be at the heart of discussions between the First Microfinance Agency (PAMF) and young people gathered at the JCI Madagascar National Convention and the Youth Leader Summit, held from October 1st to 3rd at the Cité des Cultures in Antaninarenina. Financial education sessions and training on financial inclusion are planned for this occasion.

As a Gold partner of the JCI Madagascar 2026 National Convention, PAMF plans to offer participants discussions on access to financing and training dedicated to financial education. The goal is to enable young people to better understand financial services and the opportunities available for their personal or entrepreneurial projects.

These activities represent the first concrete phase of the agreement signed between PAMF and JCI Madagascar. The agreement also includes training, experience sharing, and support for youth-led initiatives.

The Youth Leader Summit will serve as a framework to address the issue of financial inclusion more broadly. “What we want through this partnership is to raise awareness and improve understanding of financial inclusion for the benefit of Madagascar’s youth,” explains Minah Rakotobe, National President of JCI.

For PAMF, the challenge is also to provide young people with tools that remain useful beyond these events. “Future generations must have the tools, skills, and opportunities necessary to achieve their dreams,” emphasizes Guy Ratsimbazafy, Director General of PAMF.

The collaboration between the two organizations is not limited to the three days of the National Convention and the Youth Leader Summit. The agreement provides for other training sessions and events aimed at fostering exchanges with young people and strengthening their skills.

Established in Madagascar since 2006, PAMF is a microfinance institution that offers savings and credit services to entrepreneurs, households, and urban and rural populations. The JCI Madagascar National Convention and the Youth Leader Summit will take place from October 1st to 3rd at the Cité des Cultures in Antaninarenina, where PAMF will host a booth throughout the three days.
