All suspects in the murder case of two young women from Manjakaray have been arrested and are scheduled to appear before the public prosecutor next week.
A reliable judicial source confirmed that the number of suspects is between two and ten, all of whom are male. The investigation made a breakthrough after authorities identified the vehicle used by the alleged perpetrators. A shocking video found on one of the suspects’ phones, which reportedly shows the violence and the killing of the victims, is among the key pieces of evidence.
The victims, Stéphanie Mickaella Israël Nohasoavina and Vololoniaina Haingotiana Rasamison, went missing on Friday, August 21, and were found dead on Sunday, August 23, in Andranomatsatso, Ambohimanga Rova. An autopsy confirmed that Haingotiana had been subjected to sexual violence before her death.
The families of both victims have expressed their gratitude for the public support and have stated their trust in the judicial system to bring the perpetrators to justice. Among those arrested is a 17-year-old minor.
