Second consecutive victory. The second round of the Madagascar On Road motorcycle championship, titled “iRace-iRay,” was dominated by riders in the “Sportive 3” category. The winner of the first round, Noel Hasina Rakoto, riding a BMW M1000 RR, confirmed his supremacy and brilliantly secured his second consecutive victory on Sunday at Base 213 in Arivonimamo.
Each rider was required to participate in three mandatory heats to be ranked. Hasina Kely set the fastest time of 10.220 seconds during his second run on the 400-meter track, improving upon his personal best from the first round (10.400). Representing Team MCM, he achieved a cumulative time of 31.400. Hasina Kely outclassed Harena Andrianasolo in the Super Final. The latter finished third overall after the three runs, with a best time of 10.53 seconds in the second run and a cumulative time of 32.410. Hasina defeated David Rakotorahalahy in the semi-finals, while David recorded the second-fastest time of the day (10.280) during his second run with a cumulative time of 32.300. Harena, for his part, dominated Tsihoarana Raharitsimba in the semi-finals.
This was the second 400-meter drag race of the season. In other categories, Eric Ranarivelo was crowned champion in Sportive 2, and Tina Andriamihaja Razaindrabesa in Sportive 1. Willio Emilien Rabevoavy dominated the Roadster 3 category (11.280), while Noel Kenny Rakoto took the lead in Trail A3 (11.290). The third and upcoming national round will be held outside the capital on August 29th and 30th at Ambohinary Sambaina, on the RN2.
