The Dream Team football school is set to participate for the second time in the Iber Cup in Lisbon, Portugal, scheduled from June 29 to July 5. The thirty-six players, divided into three age categories—those born in 2015 (11 years old), 2012 (14 years old), and 2010 (16 years old)—along with the technical staff, were presented this past Sunday. During the event, the team’s brand-new gear was officially distributed.
Fifteen players, selected during a mid-February camp led by two Portuguese instructors, Guilherme Farinah and Rui Fernandes, have already departed for Portugal this Sunday to undergo a week of intensive training before the competition begins. The second group, consisting of twenty-one players, is scheduled to depart next Sunday.
The Dream Team football school has adjusted its European tour plans and will ultimately not participate in its second planned tournament, the Gothia Cup in Sweden, which was scheduled for mid-July. Currently, the football school trains about one hundred young enthusiasts under the guidance of six coaches.
