In Antaninarenina, during the third edition of the Salon Hanitr’i Gasikara, held from July 8 to 10 at the Jardin d’Antaninarenina, activated charcoal was showcased through various product applications.
Activated charcoal is being offered in several forms, including powder, charcoal-infused water, soap, cream, and liquid solutions. The goal is to raise awareness about the multiple uses of this natural substance, spanning both the wellness sector and food preservation. According to Niriana Harison Jeannot Henri, representative of Taratra Mikolo, this product is highly sought after for its ability to absorb certain undesirable substances, making it versatile across different fields.
The company draws on research presented in the book Saribao, written by Severino S. Paypa. This document highlights the properties of activated charcoal and its traditional use as a supplement in managing various health issues. Taratra Mikolo claims to have identified up to sixty-nine ailments for which activated charcoal could play a supportive role. However, the company officials emphasize that results may vary from person to person and that its usage must be tailored to individual situations.
Based in Fandriana, Taratra Mikolo’s production unit also contributes to local economic development. It currently employs about ten people, thereby supporting the income of several families.
“There is no treatment without a risk of failure, but the essential thing is to do everything possible to preserve one’s health,” stated the company’s representative.
Through its participation in the Salon Hanitr’i Gasikara, Taratra Mikolo aims to promote a natural product while highlighting local expertise. By focusing on the processing of activated charcoal and the diversification of its product line, the company intends to meet the growing consumer interest in natural solutions while supporting the regional economy.
