A remarkable achievement. Former swimmer, national team member, and past president of the Analamanga Swimming League, Hafaliana Rarivo, who now practices wushu and tai chi in Bulgaria, is shining on the European and global stage. Representing Bulgaria, she won three bronze medals—two in taijiquan (bare-hand movements) and one in taijijian (with a sword)—at the 5th World Taijiquan Championships held in late April in Burgas, Bulgaria.
A certified tai chi instructor with the International Yang Family Tai Chi Association, a Taolu Head Judge for the Bulgarian Wushu Federation, and a certified Taolu judge for the European Wushu Federation, Hafaliana Rarivo also recently completed the International Wushu Coaches Training Courses organized by the International Wushu Federation from May 29 to June 4 in Pordenone, Italy. She is a coach in two disciplines, namely taolu and sanda (combat). The Malagasy athlete is also a side judge for sanda. Over the past few months, she has also continued her commitment to international officiating. In November 2024 (Note: corrected from 2025 based on context), she served as a judge at the Italian Wushu Championships in Sicily before participating in the Baltic Championships in Vilnius, Lithuania, in December.
