JUDO – CAPRICORN TOURNAMENT – Esca takes the lion’s share

As in every major national competition in recent years, whether at the championship or the national cup, the judokas from the Esca club clearly excelled at the 30th edition of the Capricorn Tournament, held from August 14 to 16 at the Toliara gymnasium. The competition brought together senior, junior, cadet, minime, and benjamin categories.

Esca climbed to the top of the medal table by securing thirty medals, including 17 gold, 11 silver, and 5 bronze. Several judokas from Esca, one of the country’s leading clubs, even achieved a double, competing in two different categories. Accustomed to the top step of the podium, Roumaica Benandro was crowned champion in both the senior and cadet -52 kg categories. Avana Colline Rabetafika, in the -63 kg category, snatched gold in both senior and junior divisions. Yves Yohan Ravelojaona achieved a double by winning gold in the -66 kg junior and cadet categories.
