Transporters operating from Fasan’ny Karana must transfer their departures to Amoronakona. Although they thought on Wednesday that they could continue operating from Fasan’ny Karana, the situation was clarified this Thursday. The transfer to the new bus station remains in effect. The Minister of Transport and Meteorology, Herizo Ramanambola Andrianavalona, reaffirmed the government’s firmness on this matter. “The government’s position fully authorizes the continuation of the reorganization and the transfer to Amoronakona,” he stated.
The capacity of Amoronakona is one of the arguments put forward to justify this transfer. The station has 110 bays, while the cooperatives currently linked to Fasan’ny Karana represent about 73 operators, in addition to those serving the RN2. The minister also recalled the solutions planned to facilitate passenger travel from the new station, including shuttles and the urban train.
Starting September 16, transporters serving the RN7, in particular, must have the clearance issued by the Amoronakona bus station. Any vehicle that continues to depart from Fasan’ny Karana without this document may be impounded. The ministry also mentions the withdrawal of the cooperative’s license in the event of non-compliant departure authorization.
After the uncertainties of recent days, the message is now clear: the concerned departures must be transferred to Amoronakona.
